These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the GeoTailor Shopify app (“the App”) and the geotailor.shop website. By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
GeoTailor is a Shopify application that helps merchants personalize storefronts by visitor country and market (geo rules, campaigns, theme blocks, and related features). The App is provided by StorePilot Studio / GeoTailor (“we”, “us”).
2. Shopify relationship
The App runs on Shopify. Your use of Shopify is governed by Shopify’s own terms and policies. We are an independent app provider; we are not Shopify, and Shopify is not a party to these Terms.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must have authority to install apps on the Shopify store where you use GeoTailor. You are responsible for keeping your Shopify admin access secure and for all configuration you make inside the App.
4. The service
GeoTailor provides geo personalization features subject to your plan’s monthly visitor lookup allowance. All paid and free plans include the same core feature set; plans differ by monthly geo lookup quota (and Scale may be unlimited). Features may change as we improve the product.
Storefront personalization requires the GeoTailor theme app embed (or equivalent supported integration) to be enabled on your published theme.
5. Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed through Shopify’s Billing API / App Store managed pricing. Fees, renewals, and cancellations follow Shopify’s billing flows. There is no separate free trial period; the Free plan is available with a limited monthly lookup quota.
If you exceed your monthly quota, storefront geo rules and campaigns may pause until the next billing period or until you upgrade, as described in the App.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App, including by attempting to circumvent quotas or security controls, reverse engineer the service except where allowed by law, or use the App to violate applicable laws (including privacy, marketing consent, and consumer protection rules in the countries where you sell).
You are solely responsible for the content of your rules, campaigns, consent text, redirects, and blocked-country experiences.
7. Customer and visitor data
When you enable optional email or SMS signup campaigns, visitor contact details are processed to create or update customers in your Shopify admin, subject to the consent text you display. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we store and which processors we use.
You must obtain any legally required consent before collecting marketing emails or phone numbers from storefront visitors.
8. Intellectual property
The App, branding, and related materials are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App on your Shopify store while it is installed and your account is in good standing. Your store content and customer data remain yours.
9. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, perfect geo detection accuracy, or that the App will meet every business or legal requirement in every jurisdiction.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the fees you paid to us through Shopify for the App in the three months before the claim.
11. Termination
You may uninstall the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required to protect the service or comply with law. After uninstall, we delete or anonymize shop data as described in our Privacy Policy and Shopify compliance webhooks.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
